OSHA's Position On General Environmental Training
OSHA recognizes the focus that has been placed on environmental concerns arising from the various aspects of industry interaction with the surrounding environment. However, since precautions can become relatively complicated, there have been state and federal mandates implemented to cover the necessary areas where problems can occur. For example, mandatory OSHA regulations encompass toxic materials that can leak into the environment and subsequently poison water and land resources. The mandatory OSHA guidelines, along with other agency mandates, presented in our training videos, cover topics such as:
- The Recognition and Handling of Corrosives
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Required (OSHA 1910.132)
- Hazardous Waste Cleanup Training (OSHA 1910.120)
- Safe Drum Handling
- Asbestos Awareness (OSHA 1926.1101)
- Environmental-Damaging Spill Prevention
- And many other environmental protection topics.
In addition to our high quality training videos, we also offer other training materials that will add informational value to your seminars and classroom instructions. These include Environmental Compliance Manuals and Handbooks and a number of bonus items that come bundled with many of our training programs.
These videos and additional tools will ensure that employees are provided with the proper training, when it comes to keeping hazardous materials from affecting the environment. In turn, this will also serve to protect the employees, themselves, from the potential danger of these toxic substances. The end result is a cleaner environment, increased employee safety and the avoidance of the expense associated with non-compliance fines and avoidable medical expenses!
