Your eyes are vulnerable when working near chemicals, high-energy light sources, power tools, or during any activity involving potential flying or falling debris. These tasks expose workers to risks of eye scraping, being struck by objects, or sustaining chemical or heat burns.
While industries like construction, chemical manufacturing, and welding are frequently cited for high-risk activities involving particles and splashing liquids, eye hazards are not exclusive to these sectors. Many common substances, including liquid or gaseous cleaning products, are labeled as eye irritants and pose risks in various environments, even at home.(This program is also available with Spanish and French closed captions.)
