Course Overview

More construction workers die from falling from a height above six feet. General construction averaged eight scissor lift related deaths each year. Falls from an elevated platform are caused primarily by a worker’s unsafe act such as leaving gate chains unattached, propping the gate open, or climbing up on or leaning over the guardrail system. This program’s topics include scaffolding, causes of scaffolding injuries, basic operations, inspection, and safety checks.
