This foundational course establishes that workplace safety is a shared responsibility , clarifying the personal and mandatory duties every employee holds under their employer's program and the OSH Act's General Duty Clause . Participants will learn their rights, such as the right to refuse unsafe work and the right to information, alongside their primary responsibilities. Key topics include recognizing and immediately reporting hazards and unsafe conditions, proper adherence to safe work practices and company procedures, the correct use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) , and essential actions to take during emergency procedures. This training empowers workers to become active participants in hazard prevention and ensures a proactive safety culture.
