Course Overview

The most dangerous part of your run might not be the highway, it might be getting out of the cab. Statistics show that more truck drivers are injured by slipping and falling from stationary vehicles than by any other cause. This course targets the specific, everyday hazards of the job, reminding drivers that gravity is always working. We drill down on the golden rule of trucking safety: maintaining 3 Points of Contact whenever mounting or dismounting the rig. The training also covers environmental factors, like ice on steps or grease on catwalks, and the critical importance of selecting proper footwear with adequate traction. It’s a quick, vital reminder that landing safely is just as important as driving safely.
