This training is designed for commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers and CDL applicants to meet the mandatory pre-trip inspection requirements set by the FMCSA.
The course covers the entire vehicle from tractor to trailer, including the engine compartment, air brake system, tires, suspension, and the coupling system.
Drivers will learn to identify critical safety defects such as worn brake linings, illegal welds, fluid leaks, and issues with engine belts.
Participants will learn how to properly complete the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) to ensure compliance and document vehicle readiness.
The course builds the confidence and technical knowledge necessary to pass the strict pre-trip inspection portion of the CDL skills exam.
