MSHA New Miner Package (Part 46 24-Hour) Interactive Online Training

The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) requires all new miners and contractors to complete 24 hours of training before they start working. MSHA Part 46 New Miner Training package will allow you to meet these requirements so that you can start work safely while maintaining compliance.

The courses cover a wide range of topics, from accident prevention, emergency procedures, and first aid/CPR to identifying and reporting environmental, electrical, and chemical hazards on the job site.

This package includes:

  • MSHA Part 46 New Miner & Newly Hired Experienced Miner
  • MSHA Surface Mining Emergency Procedures
  • MSHA Surface Mining Powered Haulage Safety
  • MSHA Surface Mining Materials Handling Safety

This 24-hour online course package can supplement a company’s MSHA-approved training plan, fulfilling part of the annual refresher requirement for 30 CFR 46.8, and providing miners and contractors with current safety training. While our courses are structured to support Part 46 annual refresher needs, the specific applicability may vary based on individual training plans. It is the responsibility of the mine site operator to ensure MSHA compliance and verify that all employees complete the training outlined in their approved plan.

Objective

  • Understand MSHA Part 46 requirements for new miners and contractors
  • Identify and prevent workplace hazards, including chemical and electrical risks
  • Apply emergency procedures, first aid, and CPR on mining sites
