Course Overview

This high-intensity safety training prepares employees for the unpredictable and dangerous reality of an active shooter event . Adopting the Department of Homeland Security's standard methodology, the course instructs participants on the three critical survival options: Run, Hide, and Fight . Learners will understand how to make split-second decisions to evacuate if possible, barricade effectively if trapped, and as a last resort, disrupt and incapacitate the shooter. The training also covers the physiological effects of stress (the "freeze" response) and explains how to safely interact with law enforcement upon their arrival to ensure a coordinated and safe rescue.

This course is available in Spanish and French captions.
