Some jobs exposure to more than one hazard, for example welding involves both heat and light and can create splatter. In such cases, you need to protect your eyes from multiple hazards that’s why welding helmets and face shields are worn over primary eye protection such as spectacles or goggles. Protective eye wear comes in many forms. Safety glasses or spectacles protect against impacts and may have wrap around lenses, side shields and anti-fog coating and are designed for indoor or outdoor work. Goggles fit on your face snugly and seal off the entire eye area, they offer protection from impacts, chemical splashes and sparks.
