The use of mechanical equipment like forklifts can make moving loads easier and more efficient, but they can also be very dangerous if proper safety procedures are not followed. Forklifts should only be operated by thoroughly train and authorized individuals. Before using the forklift, inspect it thoroughly if any defects are found don’t use it tag the forklift and report any problems to supervisor. Forklifts are meant to carry loads not people, never carry passengers or allow anyone to walk under raise forks or a load. While driving the forklift always wear seatbelt, travel with fork arms lower while keeping sufficient clearance from the ground. Never travel with raise load unless the truck was designed for that purpose.
