Course Overview

Water is great for a swim, but as a workplace, it’s a treacherous neighbor. This course dives deep into the hazards of working on or near the water, where a simple slip on a wet dock can turn into a life-or-death situation. We’ll cover the obvious risks like drowning, and why your Personal Flotation Device (PFD) is your new best friend, but we also surface hidden dangers like electrical shock (because water and watts do not mix) and hypothermia. You’ll learn critical rescue techniques and first aid skills, ensuring that if things go sideways, you’re prepared to pull yourself (or a buddy) back to dry land safely.
