Machine guarding importance
Safe conveyor practices
Hazard awareness
Injury prevention tips
Moving parts don't have a conscience; they just have momentum. This course addresses two of the most frequent sources of severe industrial injuries: unguarded machinery and conveyors. We delve into the mechanics of safety, explaining the various types of machine guarding, from fixed barriers to interlocks, and why bypassing them is a fireable offense. The training pays special attention to the unique risks of conveyors, identifying the "nip points" and "shear points" where clothing or limbs can be caught in an instant. Participants will learn to respect the "Danger Zones" adjacent to powered belts and rollers, ensuring that gravity, tension, and steam remain tools of production rather than causes of trauma.
