While a person's sense of dignity and self-worth are often related to feeling clean and well groomed, personal care and grooming are also important factors in maintaining health and controlling infection. Care providers often become responsible for the personal care and personal hygiene of persons who are no longer capable of doing these things for themselves. Assisting with personal care is an important part of "morning care." Medcom’s Nursing Assistant program on personal care skills has been completely revised and updated, yet continues to provide clear descriptions and demonstrations of common and important techniques for safely providing personal care to residents.
