MSDS Safety Training Videos

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Chemical Manufacturer's Association (CMA) has developed the first standard format for (Material Safety Data Sheets MSDS) training. At this point in time, this new MSDS format is not required under the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, OSHA is encouraging its use. Because of its usefulness most of the large chemical manufacturers in the United States are adopting this MSDS Format Training. Our "The ANSI Material Safety Data Sheet" training products have been specifically created to educate employees about the ANSI MSDS format. Topics covered in these products include: The importance of the MSDS, The MSDS's role in the Hazard Communication Standard, Advantages of the ANSI format, The four basic questions of ANSI MSDS, Review of the sections in the ANSI Material Safety Data Sheet and more.

OSHA's Position On ANSI MSDS Safety Training Videos

OSHA has made it a point to stress the use of the first standard format for Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) documentation. Although not an OSHA requirement at this time, it will likely be in the future due to OSHA’s interest in promoting it (see OSHA recommendations). This new standard was created by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Chemical Manufacturer's Association (CMA) and is currently being used by most of the large chemical manufacturers in the U.S. It is fast becoming the international norm for documentation and should be presented to workers that need to know chemical compositions and first aid measures. The ANSI Material Safety Data Sheet training, that we offer, is specifically designed to meet the OSHA-recommended ANSI MSDS use. Currently, there are mandatory specific stipulations, required by OSHA, when it comes to documenting chemical hazard communication (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1200(g)). The topics that are covered in these training materials include:

  • How MSDS documents are essential when monitoring chemical use
  • How to interpret ANSI MSDS documentation
  • The role of ANSI MSDS sheets in your Chemical Communication Plan (OSHA 1910.1200)

In addition to our easy-to-understand video presentations (English and Spanish available), we also offer additional training materials (some are bundled in the video packages) in the form of; ANSI Material Safety Data Sheet posters, booklets, a customizable PowerPoint™ presentation and a printable Leader's Guide for trainers.

Chemical Safety Data Sheet knowledge is essential in many different work environments. It just makes sense to have a comprehensive training program in place in order to address this requirement. With the training material packages that we offer, you’ll have a complete presentation designed to cover all the essential material. All you need to do is to look over the selections in this section and choose the package that best fits your workplace needs! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
