Suspended scaffolding can be very dangerous if not erected, controlled, and/or maintained properly. Whenever a worker leaves the ground, the risk of an accident occurring increases dramatically. There are more than 10,000 scaffold related injuries and hundreds of deaths reported annually. Employees that work on scaffolding need to, not only make a safe work environment for themselves, but others around them. OSHAs mandates state that all employees are to be trained on how to erect scaffolding safely and use the work platforms. These products will help employers meet scaffold safety training requirements of OSHA's Scaffolding regulation. Our training products on "Suspended Scaffolding Safety" help employees understand the dangers of working with scaffolds, and how these risks can be minimized by knowing the correct ways to erect, maintain and use scaffolding equipment. Topics covered in these products include: Responsibilities of a "scaffold expert", Platforms and planking, The danger of power lines, Platform hazards, Personal fall arrest systems and other PPE, Guarding against falling objects, and more.

Those who were injured in scaffolding accidents (72%) reported that their accidents were caused by improper support structures, being struck by an object or falling off a scaffold. The reality is that these incidents could have been controlled if OSHA mandatory scaffolding regulations had been followed!
