Patient safety addresses more than just providing a safe environment for a patient to come to. Patient safety is about knowing how to keep a patient safe inside and outside the facilities walls. Disruptive behaviors, Fall prevention, Child Abuse, Neglect, Sexual Abuse and Medication Management are the most common issues that healthcare workers come across. Each one of these topics could cause physical, mental, or even life threatening results.

Train your employees to spot these common issues before the matters get out of hand. Give them the tools they need to save someone€™s life.

OSHA's Position On Patient Safety Training

OSHA recognizes that protecting the safety of a patient extends far beyond the hospital or medical clinic. The patient needs to be kept safe in their home environment as well. Of course, OSHA understands that the patient caregiver must be protected in accordance with their specific work environment particulars. This translates into mandatory regulations regarding toxin and bloodborne pathogen exposure and necessary protective equipment (OSHA 1910.132 through 133,135,136,138). The detailed videos that we offer cover OSHA (and other federal standards and laws) by illustrating different aspects of safety training that include:

  • Child Abuse (emotional abuse, neglect, physical abuse and sexual abuse)
  • Personal Protective Equipment (OSHA 1910.132(d))
  • Infection Control (OSHA 1910.130)
  • Hazard Communication (OSHA 3187 - 2003)
  • Electrical Standards and Safety
  • Airborne Germs and Virus Control
  • Other safety training topics.

In addition to our high quality patient safety training DVDs, we also provide other training resources that include; Age Specific Care Handbooks and other materials that come bundled with many of our training program packages.
