Introduction to Working Safely with Supported Scaffolding is an online training course that was specifically created to address OSHA’s training requirements for Supported Scaffolding. Topics covered include personal fall arrest systems, OSHA regulations for supported scaffolds, assembly/disassembly, materials handling, hazards common with scaffolds, and more.

Learning Objectives

After successful completion of this OSHA compliant course, the student will be able to:

  • Protect themselves while working with scaffolding according to OSHA’s rules and regulations.

      • Creating a firm foundation for Scaffold Assembly that will accommodate the Maximum Intended Load.
      • Necessary Prep Work required for making a level foundation for a scaffold.
      • Using Mud Sills to create a perfectly level foundation.
      • Making a scaffold’s frame as strong as possible with the proper parts.
      • Important steps to remember while erecting each level of a scaffold.
      • Working with Scaffolds
        • Proper positioning of different platforms.
        • How to inspect platforms for damage.
        • Hazards which are common when working with platforms, such as power lines.
        • Safe access of scaffolds in their final position.
