The logging industry has a long history as one of the most profitable ventures possible, and also as one of the most dangerous. The daily use of chain saws and the threat of falling trees mean that loggers must be constantly on the lookout. When OSHA Requires First Aid Training:<\/h2>\n

In the absence of a nearby hospital or clinic (more than 4 minutes away), a designated employee should be trained to render first aid. See full OSHA regulation<\/a> for more details.<\/p>\n

Training Frequency<\/h2>\n

Retraining for life threatening emergencies should occur annually. Retraining for non-life-threatening response should occur ‘periodically’.<\/p>\n
