I can’t imagine kissing a loved one goodbye one morning to set out on a usual, routine day of work…only to have it be the last time I ever see them. Sadly, that’s the reality for the families of the 4,000 workers killed at work every year, according to OSHA. Additionally, OSHA also reports that about four million workers are injured or contract an illness at work. Worker’s Memorial Day on April 28th is a day of remembrance for all the workers who died while at work and to offer respect to their families’ grievances.
There are many different Worker’s Memorial Day event taking place on that day around the country, so if you’d like to participate in an event to remember the fallen workers of workplaces past and present, you may do so by looking at this map to find an event near you.
Workers -past and present- whose lives were abruptly ended while performing your job duties, we at Atlantic Training solute and remember you and will continue our efforts in making workplaces safe for every American on your behalf.
