OSHA's Position On Workplace Harassment OFFICE Training

As with other types and locations of Workplace Harassment, OSHA’s policies extend to office environments as well. These policies are directly related to violence in the office (Directive number CPL 02-01-052) and proposed regulations dealing with sexual harassment (OSHA study and recommendations). Federal laws have been in place for some time when it comes to preventing workplace incidents of discrimination, sexual harassment and violent behavior. Since OSHA is a federal agency, it supports and works in conjunction with these laws. Currently, with regards to OSHA, these concerns fall under OSHA’s General Duty Clause,Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) of 1970. This clause pertains to the need for employers to ensure a safe work environment for employees. Of course, current definitions of harassment have taken on a wider connotation that includes issues involving sexual harassment perceptions and liability issues based on race, color, national origin, religion, gender, disability, age and others. Therefore, it’s extremely important to make sure that the proper training is provided. The training DVDs offered here cover subjects such as:
