Hand Safety Training DVD
Dramatic interviews with people who have suffered hand injuries combined with realistic wrong way/right way scenarios delivers a powerful message. This video has been called "the best hand safety video available!"
For most of us, hand injuries are something we don’t think about very often. Maybe because we use our hands for so many tasks during the course of the day, we just take them for granted. While we often don’t see workplace hazards as much of a threat, nearly 1,000 people suffer a disabling hand or finger injury each day.
This program features several traumatic hand injuries that will remind the viewer about the consequences of accidents and the importance of hand safety. Attitudes and safe working procedures are also discussed.
Over 600 injuries per day result from slips and falls. In fact, about 20% of all occupational accidents involve slips, trips and falls. These accidents don’t just happen; they usually involve some type of mental mistake. This video uses re-enactments of common accidents to show the viewer how our actions and attitudes are crucial in preventing slips and falls.
- Slips and falls are the second leading cause of work-related deaths and the third leading cause of disabling work injuries.
- The most common causes of slips and falls include unsafe use of ladders, slippery surfaces, inappropriate footwear, poor lighting, inattention and haste.
- Slips and falls are just as much a matter of mental mistakes as they are physical hazards.
