Arc Flash Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) PPT
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration provided this presentation on Personal Protective Equipment for Arc Flash, starting on slide #19 up to slide #40. The importance of PPE is to prevent personal injury and maintain safety in the workplace. A proper attire is used specifically for Arc Flash. Also discussed are ANSI Markings for eye protection, helmet and footwear. Other topics included: Introduction, Hierarchy of Control, Alerting Techiniques, NFPA Hazard Risk Categories, Flame Resistant Clothing, and ASTM Designations.
Arc Flash: NFPA 70E PPT
This presentation is provided by Los Alamos National Laboratory on NFPA 70E, the Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace. NFPA 70E is intended to provide work practices to minimize the worker from electrical energy when using or working on or near electrical equipment and conductors. Each worker shall undergo training and must be aware of possible hazards associated in the workplace. Proper usage of PPE is also required to keep away from injuries and maintain safety.
Arc Flash Hazards PPT
This presentation is provided by French Inc, on Arc Flash Hazards found on slides #11 to #16. Arc Flash cause burns and this contributes to 80% of all electrical injuries. Workers must be aware and ready for these hazards to maintain workplace safety and avoid injuries. This presentation helps a lot to inform and train workers on the different hazards that they will encounter on their workplace. Other topics included are: Electrical Hazards, Electric Shock, Human Resistance Values, IEEE / PCIC & NFPA 70E.
